Spring 2023 Season Kicks Off – Season Preview!

Happy New Year, Vandal Family!

2023 is shaping up to be a great one for building our culture and program with a dedicated, talented, and young core! We almost have a new team with one Junior, five Sophomores and nine Freshman. Our goal is to grow together, improve the reputation of Vandal Lacrosse, and pick up some wins along the way.

This season we will be traveling to Nampa (Boise), Missoula and Tacoma for three double-header weekends. We will have three home games, and potentially four, if a home game with Western Oregon is added on Friday, March 31. Two home games against prominent conference opponents have playoff implications so we NEED our Vandal Family to show up and shout out, especially for these home games:

  • Saturday, February 25 vs. Western Washington

  • Sunday, March 26 vs. Central Washington.

Mark your calendars and rest your voices! Click Vandal Game Schedule to see game details on MCLA/PNCLL website. Start making your travel plans! We're looking forward to seeing everyone.

This Spring, the players are using the PledgeIt platform as the season’s main fundraiser: their game stats will raise funds based on pledges made. Each player has created their own page and will endeavor to get multiple backers. We ask that families and friends support their efforts!

We are always searching for businesses to support the club as a sponsor or to sponsor one or more players. All donations are tax deductible as the tax laws of a 501(c)(3) organization allow. Click DONATE NOW! to go to the donation page on our website for more details. All monetary or in-kind support is greatly appreciated by the team!

I am excited and so thankful to announce that the number of volunteers on the Vandal Lacrosse Board of Directors has grown! This Fall, we welcomed John Mann as Treasurer and Fred Fioriello as Director, and as of January, we welcome Dustin Worth and Mike LaMana as Directors. The support the Board gives to the coaches, the players and the club overall is invaluable. There are several open positions. Reach out if you are interested in serving or would like to learn more.

As you all know, our small community has been through a lot the past two months, and I hope to give these young men an escape by playing the game we all love with friends, teammates, and coaches who appreciate and love them. Thank you for your support throughout the season!
