Vandals Get First Win of the Season Against Central Washington

Updated: Apr 3, 2022

This past weekend, the Vandals traveled to Washington to play two games. On Saturday, 2/26, they battled Western Washington in Bellingham. In a hard fought game, the Vandals fell to the Vikings 17-7.

On Sunday, 2/27, the Vandals traveled to Central Washington to face off against the Wildcats. The Vandals bounced back from their loss on Saturday and earned themselves a huge win! The team scored 7 unanswered goals in the 3rd quarter and every short stick on the team scored in the game.

Coach Raichl & Uphus awarded the game ball to freshman, do-it-all-middie, Zach Teran for dominating the faceoff X! Grant Egen, Senior, was the leading scorer with 4 incredible goals.

The final score was 9-7. This win was especially sweet! Not only was it the first win of the season, but the first win since the 2019 season!
